gymasstics | KING'S GAME: ROUND 5 EDITION

SO SOMETIMES WE DO NORMAL PARTIES OR TRUTH OR DARE OR SOMETHING. Sometimes we do sleepovers! And sometimes we go full anime bullshit.

This is an ooc post to explain King's Game and also serve as an interest check; Charles and I tried to run it last round but I feel like having a hard explanation and asking people if they want in earlier/on a more concrete post is better than poorly explaining things in a rushed plurk.

SO:

What the fiddly diddly is this anime bullshit? King's Game?: It's a party game in a similar vein to truth or dare! The group will draw straws with random numbers; one of the straws will be a "king" who gives out orders for the round. The orders are similar to what you'd think of for dares and can be done in any creative number of ways. The catch is that you don't know who is what number until you give out your commands.

For example:

Nachetanya gets the king stick/straw/whatever for a round. Queen Nachetanya orders 7 and 11 to sing. Kogami and Wheatley proceed to do their best at serenading everyone.

Next round features King Osomatsu, who tells 4 and 7 to kiss. Asgore and Wesker have an awkward time.

A third round featuring Queen Nozomi features her telling the group to balance on one leg for a solid minute.

In a fourth round, King Greed tells 2, 3, 11, and 17 to give the person to their left a piggy back ride.

And so on and so forth. It's a big mingle party log that's a little more focused than truth or dare. Everyone will get a chance to be king!

So when the fuck are we doing this anime shit?: That would be on Wednesday! Tentatively starting at around 4PM EST because that seems to be when peak hours start up.

What if I'm not around that day/don't want to play/am at work until 8?: This is completely one hundred percent opt-in! If you'd like to play, please reply to this post so we (and by we I mean Charles) can put you into the RNG.

There's no obligation whatsoever to be around the entire time and it's fine to tag in later or drop out! That said, since some people weren't around/back from work/etc last time, we're planning on mixing up how the RNG works a little.

Basically, we're going to put up the rounds in batches. Assuming all 24 people currently alive, we'll have different rounds go up in batches of 5 from 4PM-10PM EST, about five every hour and a half. This is to stagger them so they aren't overwhelming and people get a chance to do stuff, but also to leave enough to do that if a person isn't around, things don't end up stagnating. There's no pressure on how fast or short you have to tag these! That said, we're also going to pick who's round goes when little more manually- if you know you're going to be around earlier or later in the afternoon, we'll try to make sure your character's shot at being king happens more around when you're available!

That all said, please come comment here if you'd like in and specify any time preferences you have if any!

I'm in, but I'm MST and also work during these hours, fffff. I'm usually home around 9:30 EST time? But I also have access to a computer at work the entire time this is going, so I should be able to tag between calls. It just might be slow.

Unless that's inconvenient, I can roll with whatever.

That's entirely up to you! There's nothing wrong with being slow to it, it doesn't have to be blitzed through in an hour- the more time sensitive part is the round you're commanding since you'd have to be around to put down your character's dare/demands, which is why I'm asking for time preferences.

So if you want to be in on every round that's cool, if you'd rather just be in on the 10pm batch that's also cool! Entirely up to you.

I'm absolutely here for this!! I should be around all night, so any time works for me! Krauser's going to need someone to drag him into this again because this man hates fun, but that shouldn't be too difficult!
